Questions

Straight Answers.Including The Awkward Ones.

What things cost, what you own, how long it takes, and what happens when somebody promises you page one. If your question is not here, call and ask it.

What does a website actually cost?

Builds start at $1,000 for Launch (up to five pages) and $2,500 for Business Growth, which is the one most local service businesses take. A Shopify store is $3,500. Anything with logins, dashboards or bookings is $8,000 and up, priced on milestones. There is no setup fee on any of them and the full rate card is published at /pricing rather than hidden behind a call.

Do I have to pay it all up front?

No. There is also a Website Partnership at $750 setup plus $249 a month on a twelve-month term, which spreads the build across the year and includes hosting and care. At month 12 the site becomes yours free and clear. It is a genuine twelve-month commitment — there is no early exit on that one, and we would rather say so here than in the small print.

What does the monthly cost, and what do I get?

Foundation is $199 a month: hosting, backups, security patching, uptime monitoring and half an hour of edits. Visibility is $499 and is the one the business is built around — Google Business Profile management, schema, citations, review requests and responses, one new service or city page every month, AI-answer visibility tracking, one video, and a monthly report. Growth is $999 and adds two videos a month from your footage. Volume is $2,200 and adds managed Google Ads and Local Services Ads.

Is ad spend included in that?

No, and be careful with anyone who says it is. Advertising money is billed by Google directly to your own card, on an ad account you own. We manage it and we never mark it up. If an agency quotes you one number covering both their fee and your spend, ask which part is which.

Am I locked into a contract?

The first 90 days on a retainer are month-to-month. If you are not happy with what you are seeing, cancel — no fee and no argument. The single exception is the Website Partnership, which is a full twelve-month term because we front the cost of the build.

Do I own my website?

Yes, and you own everything around it too — the domain, the DNS, the hosting account, the Google Business Profile, the analytics, the ad accounts. All of it is registered in your name. We work as a delegated user you invite from inside your own account and remove in one click. The one exception is the Website Partnership, where we own and host the site while you are paying it off, and ownership transfers at month 12.

Can you guarantee I will rank number one?

No, and nobody honestly can. Search engines, map results and AI answers are run by third parties who change how they work without notice, and your results are also affected by your competitors, your reviews, how fast you answer the phone, and whether you are available when someone calls. What we commit to is the work described in your proposal, delivered on the schedule stated, and reported every month with sources you can check yourself.

How long before anything happens?

A build is typically two to six weeks depending on the package and how fast photos and answers come back. Visibility work is slower to show and faster to compound — Google Business Profile changes can move within weeks, while service and city pages generally take a few months to settle. Anyone promising a date is guessing.

What do you need from me?

Less than you would think. Ten tap-to-answer questions to start, then access to the accounts you already own — Search Console, your Google Business Profile, analytics. You grant those from inside your own account. Then photos, and if you are on Growth, about sixty seconds of phone footage a month. That is the part only you can do.

What if I do not have a website at all?

That is a normal way to start, and often an easier one — nothing to undo. Answer the ten questions and we will build you a real site with your name on it and send you the link. It costs nothing to look at and you owe nothing if you walk away.

Do you work with businesses outside Orange County?

Yes. We are based in Anaheim and most clients are in Orange County and Los Angeles, but we work across California and everything is delivered remotely. There is no travel and no shoot day in any package.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Local service businesses, mostly — plumbing, HVAC, roofing, electrical, contracting, landscaping, fencing, auto service, car detailing, dental and med spa. We also do ecommerce. If your trade is not on that list it is not a problem; the questionnaire has a set of questions for exactly that case.

What is a free teardown?

A twenty-minute call where we pull up your site and your Google profile live and show you where you are losing calls — load time, missing service pages, citation mismatches, what a competitor has that you do not. You keep the notes whether or not you hire us. If you would rather have it written up, the paid Website Audit is $500 and is credited in full against any build within 30 days.

Who actually does the work?

Wilson Lien. This is a one-person agency, supported by a lot of automation. You will not be handed to an account manager, and there is no team of specialists to describe — saying otherwise about a solo operator would be a false statement about the thing you are buying.
