One Call.Two Jobs.

A plumbing emergency is decided in minutes. Water is on the floor and the first number that answers gets the truck. But that call is the small job — the repipe it turns up is the big one. Builds start at $1,000, the rate card is public, and the first conversation is a free 20-minute teardown.

Twenty Minutes, Start To Finish

Nobody collects three bids for a burst pipe. From seeing the water to booking a truck is about twenty minutes. They search, they look at the map, they glance at the review count, they tap.

That is an emergency funnel end to end, and most website advice is written for a slower one. A page that loads on one bar of signal, a number tappable before any scrolling, real hours, and a service area that names your town — those win it. If the number is buried, the call went to whoever was on screen.

The Job Behind The Job

The emergency is not where the money is. A plumber goes out for a slow drain and finds galvanized pipe, a water heater a year past its life, or a warm spot on the slab. That second conversation is worth far more than the call that started it, and it does not close in twenty minutes. It closes in about three days, after the homeowner has read you properly.

So the site has two jobs: win the panic call, then hold up when someone reads it slowly before letting you repipe their house. One is speed and a number. The other is pages that answer the expensive question in writing.

The Six Pages A Plumbing Site Needs

Six real pages, built in this order, because the search is for the problem and never for a plumber:

  • Emergency plumbing — the panic search. Tap-to-call above everything else.
  • Water heater replacement — the cost question people type by name, so it carries a real range.
  • Repiping and whole-house repipe — biggest ticket, slowest decision. A quote form, not a phone number.
  • Slab leak detection and repair — a symptom page. Nobody searches it until the floor is warm.
  • Sewer line repair and hydro jetting — the other big ticket, and the one nobody understands until they need it.
  • Drain cleaning — the everyday call, and the front door to the five above.

Six jobs, six pages. Put all six on one “Services” page and it answers none of them — the homeowner typing “why does my house smell like sewage” wants a page about that, and a list is not one.

The Questions Your Customers Actually Type

Search engines and AI assistants both answer questions now, and in plumbing the list hardly moves from one city to the next:

  • How much does it cost to replace a water heater?
  • How much does it cost to repipe a house?
  • Why is my water heater making a popping noise?
  • How do I know if I have a slab leak?
  • Why does my whole house smell like sewage?
  • Is my water heater old enough to replace?

Three of those are symptoms, not services. The person typing them does not know what the problem is called yet, which is why naming it wins the call. Each needs a real answer on the page: a price range with its conditions, your name, your city, and the date it was last true. That is what an AI assistant quotes back.

Where Plumbing Customers Find You

The map, ahead of everything else. Ranking there is a different job from ranking a webpage: a Google Business Profile filled out properly, the same name and number everywhere, reviews arriving steadily and answered, real service-area pages. Directories push harder here than in most trades: Yelp, Angi and Thumbtack sit on top of the cost searches, so those profiles are part of the work. That is the monthly job.

What It Costs

Real numbers, the same ones on the pricing page. Launch at $1,000 — up to five core pages, semi-custom on the plumbing design system, a form that delivers, on-page SEO and analytics. Business Growth at $2,500 — up to ten pages, so the six above still fit alongside a home and a contact page, with custom visual direction, intake forms, local SEO and Search Console. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices. After launch, Foundation at $199 a month keeps the site alive and Visibility at $499 works the map, the reviews and the AI answers.

The California Part

California has advertising rules for licensed trades, and the tagline almost every plumber uses contains one word that cannot legally be published here. We leave it out, show your license number in the format the rules ask for, and re-check every page before launch. What we refuse to publish, and why, is written down in public.

Who This Is For

Owner-run plumbing companies in Anaheim, Orange County and across California — one to ten trucks, where the phone is the business and the site has never been the reason it rang. Plumbing is the first of the eight trade design systems we build from, and it is the emergency-first one. If your phone rings enough already, you do not need this. If you are paying a lead service by the call, that is the number to put next to a build.
