They Read First.Then They Book.

A leak is a same-day call. A reroof is three to eight weeks of reading and comparing, often with an insurance claim attached, and it ends in a form, not a call. One site has to do both. Builds start at $1,000, the rate card is public, and the first conversation is a free 20-minute teardown.

Why The Form Beats The Phone

The homeowner with water coming through a ceiling calls, and that page is built for a thumb. Almost nobody else does. The one with curling shingles, the one waiting on an adjuster — they are not phoning a stranger to open a conversation that size. They read, they shortlist, then they ask someone to come look.

So the number to count is inspection requests booked, not calls answered. Every page is built backwards from that: a short quote form, and photos of finished jobs sitting beside the cost talk.

The Six Pages A Roofing Site Needs

Six pages, built in this order, because nobody searches for a roofer in the abstract. They search for the job:

  • Roof replacement cost — the money page. The first thing every reroof search asks, answered with a real range and its conditions.
  • Roof leak repair — the emergency page. Tap-to-call above everything; this reader is not reading.
  • Tile roof repair and underlayment — the Southern California repair-or-replace page, for the homeowner told the tile is fine and the layer under it is not.
  • Free roof inspection — the shortlist page, with booking on it.
  • Insurance claim support — what you look for, what you document, where your job stops.
  • Flat and low-slope roofing — different material, different buyer, and its own page, not a line on a services list.

Roll those six into one “Services” page and the homeowner typing “how much to reroof a house” has nothing on your site to land on.

The Questions Homeowners Actually Type

Search engines and AI assistants answer questions now, and in roofing they barely change:

  • How much does it cost to reroof a house in my city?
  • How long does a tile roof last in Southern California?
  • Does homeowners insurance cover a roof leak?
  • Should I repair or replace my roof?
  • Do I need a permit to replace a roof here?
  • How long does a roof replacement take?

A reroof buyer reads a lot of those. Answer one properly — a price range with its conditions, the material, your business name, your city, and the date it was last true — and that is the page an AI assistant quotes back. Pages that hedge get skipped.

The Insurance Page, Written Carefully

“Will insurance pay for this?” sits behind a lot of reroof searches, and most roofing sites either ignore it or overpromise. Your claim-support page describes your service instead: what you look for, what you photograph and document, what you hand the homeowner, and where your job ends.

What it never does is answer for the insurer. Whether a policy covers a leak depends on the policy and the cause of the damage, and nobody writing your website can tell a homeowner how a claim will land. Saying so plainly reads as competence, not caution.

Where Roofing Customers Actually Find You

Organic results and the map pack together, which makes roofing different from heating and air, where the map is nearly the whole game. Here people read two or three pages first, then look at the map and decide who to book. Both matter: pages that answer things, and a Google Business Profile with consistent details, steady reviews you reply to, current job photos. How the map pack is decided is published, and the monthly work keeps a site earning after launch.

What It Costs

The same numbers as the pricing page, in the same words. Launch at $1,000 — up to five core pages on the roofing design system, a working quote form, on-page SEO and analytics. Business Growth at $2,500 — up to ten pages, which is the six above plus a home, contact and gallery page, with custom visual direction, booking forms, local SEO and Search Console wired in. Keyword research comes with every build. Retainers start at $199 a month, and the first 90 days are month-to-month. What a contractor website costs is written up in full.

The California Part

Licensed trades here work under California advertising rules, and one word in the tagline nearly every contractor uses cannot legally be published in this state — true or not. Roofing adds a layer. A warranty length, a manufacturer certification, an insurance outcome: each is a claim somebody can test, so each publishes with proof behind it or not at all. We check every page against the rules before launch.

Who This Is For

Roofing companies still run by their owner, in Anaheim, Orange County and across California — repairs through the rain season, reroofs through the summer, and a website that has never produced an inspection request. If you buy leads by the call, that monthly number is the one to hold against a build. The same contractor design system runs underneath, tuned to how a roof gets sold.
